Store charts

For store charts, we track the top 500 games across 55 stores, with the details of each game: its rank in the best sellers chart, its price and the discount. The ranking is sorted by revenue, including DLC and microtransaction revenue, and it updates on a daily basis. We see a massive shift in the update after 7 days.

Saved: Every 4 hours, in 55 PlayStation Stores, down to number 500
Each save: Game, rank, price, discount, star rating and review count
Rank: Position in the store's own best sellers list at the time of the save, ordered by revenue. Not a sales figure
Trend arrows: Change against the save closest to 24 hours earlier
New: Not in that list 24 hours earlier
Days at number 1: Counted once per store per day
Best position: Best rank since tracking began (24 August 2026), not since release

Launch labels

Massive hit: Number 1 in 25 or more stores on the same day. Once earned, the label stays
Global hit: Top 5 in more than 15 stores and top 3 in more than 10 on the same day. Once earned, the label stays
Strong launch: Top 10 in 10 or more stores
Selling widely: Top 100 in 20 or more stores
Fading: Top 100 in half as many stores as 7 days earlier, or fewer, after being in the top 100 in at least 10 stores
Slow start: In the first 14 days after release: released at least 3 days ago, with a best rank worse than 50

Momentum

For: Released games in their first 100 days. None before release
Move: Each store's rank today against its rank 7 days earlier; the game's move is the middle value across its stores, weighted: the US 30%, the other 19 featured stores 40%, the rest 30%
Stores counted: At least 3 stores where the game charted on both days. From 5 such stores, a store where it charted on only 1 of the 2 days also counts, as number 501 on the other day, when that store's top 500 was saved
Compared with: Games at the same stage (days 0 to 7, days 8 to 30, days 31 to 100) that started the week in a similar place, from the middle of their ranks 7 days earlier: top 30, 31 to 100 or below 100 up to day 30; top 100 or below after
Levels: Very high: better than 9 in 10 similar games. High: better than 7 in 10. Medium: in line with most. Low: behind 7 in 10. Very low: behind 9 in 10
Holding the top: Top 5 in 15 or more stores both today and 7 days earlier reads Very high. Top 10 in at least 10 of the 20 featured stores today never reads below Medium
Lines: Set from 1,270 game weeks (24 August to 28 September 2026) and reset every month as more history builds up

Where it sells

Regions: North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, East Asia and Asia Pacific, each with its own stores
Average: The average of today's ranks in the region's stores where the game charts
Colours: Green: top 10. Blue: 11 to 25. Grey: 26 to 100. Grey outline: below 100. Empty: not charting

PS5 features: PS5 Pro Enhanced, PS VR2 and official game help, from the PlayStation Store's own filters, checked weekly in the US, UK and Japanese stores
Developer and series: From Wikidata (CC0), matched by name and release year; shown only when exactly 1 game matches
Flags: From flag-icons 7.5.0 by Panayiotis Lipiridis (MIT licence)
Top downloads: Places in PlayStation Blog's monthly most downloaded lists

Star ratings

Star ratings are given to a game once it is live on the PlayStation Store. They are calculated on the PlayStation servers, and only the people who own the game digitally can rate it.

Refresh: Top 10 in every store: every 3 hours. All other games: about once a week

Prices and deals

The entire deals section has been made with 2 things in consideration: avoiding shovelware, and adding features which are not available on the PlayStation Store, like discounts of up to 90% or playlists by publisher. These are the factors we consider before anything else. The exchange rates come from official central bank sources.

Price history: Every price change seen in a save, since 31 August 2026
Lowest since: Lowest price since the game's history began (not an all time low). Shown after 7 days of history
Sale end dates: Read from the store daily
Catalogue: Each store's wider catalogue, read weekly, for games outside the charts
Deals: rating: 3.5 out of 5 or higher. A game released in the last 6 months that the store has not rated yet also passes
Deals: reviews: 500 or more for games released over 6 months ago. No minimum for the 31 publishers with their own pages, or for games released in the last 6 months
Regional pricing: Full price at least 25% below the US store's, in US dollars, in 3 or more stores (sale prices excluded)
Exchange rates: European Central Bank daily reference rates, via open.er-api.com (in use: 1 Nov 2026)
PS Plus tags: Each store's PS Plus game lists, checked daily and confirmed on the game's store page

Best sellers and most anticipated

Best sellers is our own ranking, built from the best sellers charts of up to 55 PlayStation Stores. Most anticipated is the same ranking for games that are not released yet.

Windows: The last 7 days or the last 30 days, ending on the last complete day
Order: A higher place in more stores ranks a game higher, and larger stores count more than smaller ones. The lists show the top 20, places only
Listed: On the best sellers chart in 3 or more stores on at least 1 day. Editions of 1 title are 1 row, and a store that lists 2 editions counts once, at its best place
Not released yet: Most anticipated lists a game that is on the preorder chart (top 50, saved daily) of at least 1 store on the latest day, with a release date that has not passed. A game with no date, or with a date for the month only, is not counted as released. The list is numbered again from 1

Top rated is completely based on the PlayStation Store reviews.

Sony's monthly top downloads

Sony's monthly top downloads are captured from the PlayStation Blog. They have been running since 2015 for the US store and were introduced later in Europe and Japan.
